Charming old Florida at its finest! Also known as “The City Under the Oaks” to locals. One of only two cities in Hendry County. Francis Ashbury Hendry named LaBelle after his two daughters: Laura June Hendry and Carrie Belle Hendry in 1895, and in 1923 the state legislature created Hendry County, honoring Capt. Hendry.
